This overview provides an overview of the archives in the ABA from SiD, which in 2005 merged with Kvindeligt Arbejderforbund to form Fagligt F\u00e6lles Forbund (3F).<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The overview contains entries to the ABA database and is divided according to the unions and organizations that have been part of SiD over the years and the nature of the material: minutes and reports, anniversary publications, trade journals and archive material. The material covers the time until the merger in 2005.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The division of the material<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

  1. Minutes and reports cover two types of publications from the individual unions. Firstly, annual or company reports published by the main management, and secondly, minutes and reports from the unions’ congresses, which often cover multi-year periods.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Anniversary publications are a large collection of very different publications that both unions and local branches have published on the occasion of anniversaries. Some unions have published many anniversary publications, others only for the big anniversaries. Others have published thick books, others small leaflets and still others special issues of their union magazine. But here we have tried to include all anniversary publications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Trade journals include everything the ABA has been able to find in the way of regular publications for members from the individual union or local branches. This can be anything from weekly magazines to biannual publications. Some of the magazines have been published for many years while others may have been discontinued after one or a few issues.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. The Archive Collection shows the associations and a larger number of the chapters that exist in the ABA. However, the electronic registration of the original archive material is still in its infancy in the ABA. However, there are paper registrants.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
